Five Colleges Visit - June 2025

A group of K-12 educators from Five Colleges (a consortium of five colleges in Massachusetts) came to Lum Sai Ho Tong to get "schooled" on Chinese benelovent societies, Chinese immigration to Hawaii, and how religious thought shaped Chinese culture. Led by Dr. Anne Prescott, Director of the Center for East Asian Studies, a group of 13 teachers and 3 leaders spent a week in Honolulu. One of their stops was LSHT where they were given a powerpoint presentation and a tour of Tin Hau Temple. We were honored to give these Mainland educators a hands-on look at our organization.

Five Colleges consists of Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and University of Massachusetts Amherst.
