The newest feature at Tin Hau Temple are two Brightness Blessing Lamp Towers. Installed in June 2026, it was a bold change in the Year of the Fire Horse. Replacing the large array of coiled incense fronting the main altar for Tin Hau, Dee Mu, and Lung Mu, it provides worshippers a continuous light offering to Tin Hau.

For decades, stacks of large coiled incense burned continuously for weeks at a time, adding much smoke and soot.

Light is one of the five offerings to the Deities and has great significance in Taoism. Bright light shines a million miles to guide the way for good faith and to light up one's path ahead. Worshippers can claim a lighted compartment on the tower to seek continuous blessings from Tin Hau. Here are the blessings which are available at Tin Hau Temple:

1) Blessing of Prosperity and Longevity

2) Improvement in Academic Performance

3) Wishing you a Booming Business

4) Safe, smooth Travel and Protection

5) May All Your Wishes Come True

6) Peace and Safety for the Whole Family

7) Wisdom and Perfection

8) Achieve Academic Success

One can choose any of the above blessings and you will given a small blessing card on which you will write your name on. This card will then be placed in a vacant compartment on the blessing tower. Each tower can hold 210 names. The cost to register a compartment for one year of continuous blessing is currently $60.
